Scholars who cannot take the PSAT/NMSQT or SAT on their school’s scheduled test date may register for an alternative testing opportunity on the October 12 non-instructional day at the Ballard Center in Old Town.
PSAT/NMSQT
The PSAT/NMSQT is a preliminary SAT that also serves as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The exam is free for San Diego Unified juniors. Juniors from outside the district may register for a fee.
SAT
The SAT administered on October 12 is the same official college entrance exam offered on Saturdays, and scholars will receive an official SAT score report. Registration fees are required to cover the cost of the exam and proctors. Fee waivers are not available for this alternative test date.
Register and submit any required payment by October 5.
