The application is now open for the 2026 CGCS-Peters Pharis Foundation Math and Science Scholarships. Four $10,000 scholarships—two males and two females—will be awarded to 2026 graduating high school seniors in school districts represented by the Council of the Great City Schools. (This includes San Diego Unified School District.)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Applications should include evidence of the applicant’s academic achievement in high school, leadership skills or community service in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and the applicant’s commitment to pursue a career in a STEM field.
- Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA.
- Accepted as a full-time student at a four-year institution of higher education. Applicants do not have to be a United States citizen.
- Must attend a public school in a Council of the Great City School District.
