your help in identifying high-achieving sophomores and juniors who are ready to
lead. This annual flagship event invites students from across California to a
four-day legislative and leadership program convening at CSU Dominguez Hills from
July 8–11, 2026.
The AALT
Experience:
- Immersive
Learning: Students
participate in dynamic workshops, civic engagement sessions, and a deep
exploration of the legislative process.
- College
Life: Participants
experience dorm living and community dining for a curated, age-appropriate
introductory college experience.
- Fully
Funded: This
program is offered at no cost to families. Transportation
provided.

PROGRAM
DETAILS
Eligibility:
- Current
California high school sophomore or junior.
- Minimum 2.5
GPA or higher.
- Commitment
to leadership and group participation.
Application
Requirements:
- Current high
school transcript (official or unofficial).
- Two
signed recommendation letters: One from a school official and one from a non-related
community member.
- Two essay
responses (250 words max).
- Student
photo.

Dates:
- Monday,
April 13, 2026: Application
Deadline (5:00 p.m. PT). Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Friday,
May 8, 2026: Decision
notifications sent via email.
- July
8–11, 2026: Conference
at CSUDH.
