September Harvest of the Month: Emerald Beaut Plums

September Harvest of the Month: Emerald Beaut Plums
Posted on 09/20/2025

This September, our students are enjoying the crisp, golden-green Emerald Beaut Plums, sourced locally from Kingsburg Orchards in California’s Central Valley. These plums are known for their sweet flavor and juicy texture — perfect for introducing children to the best of seasonal, California-grown produce.

Salad Bar Spotlight: Blueberries

Our salad bars will also be featuring Blueberries, a nutrient-rich fruit packed with antioxidants and flavor. Together, these offerings highlight our commitment to bringing students fresh, healthy, and locally inspired choices throughout the school year.

Educators have been using our Farm to school Taste Kits provided by our Farm-to-School coordinator to supplement classroom lessons, giving students hands-on opportunities to explore and enjoy these seasonal fruits.
