The funds raised through La Jolla Festival of the Arts support sports and recreation programs for San Diegans with disabilities.

Each year since 1987, the prestigious La Jolla Festival of the Arts has served to raise money for programs that focus on improving the lives of San Diego children, adults and wounded warriors through adaptive sports, recreation and education programs. This year, the Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation has pledged $82,000 to support 22 nonprofits that serve persons with disabilities.

For 29 years, the La Jolla Festival of the Arts has brought established and emerging artists to the region, celebrating the best across multiple visual arts categories. For the event's 30th anniversary in 2016, it is getting both a new name, becoming the San Diego Festival of the Arts, and a new location.
