Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

Visit us at our new EHS website, redesigned with you in mind!

The safety and health of all students, employees, visitors and community members is the primary concern of the San Diego Unified School District. At the Environmental, Health & Safety Office, we are committed to providing critical programs, services and guidance, which ensure a safe and healthy environment while assuring regulatory compliance.

Our staff, as part of the Physical Plant Operations Center, works in a coordinated effort and via partnerships to provide technical support, education, training, consultation, investigation, recognizing and controlling health and safety hazards, periodic audits of environmental, health and safety practices, regulatory compliance and minimizing potential hazards, risks and liabilities.

We are helping build a shared culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
