The District is hosting a special event at the Ed Center on Friday, April 22 from 1-5 p.m. The event is open to all district employees, their families and friends. In addition to COVID-19 vaccine boosters, there will be food trucks and a gift card raffle.
The UCSD Vaccine Van will be offering free COVID-19 vaccines, including first and second boosters. No appointments necessary, just bring your vaccination card if possible.
After getting your recommended COVID-19 vaccine booster, stop by one of the featured food trucks to purchase your lunch, dinner or a sweet treat – Dun Rite Kansas City BBQ | Fused World Tacos | gelü Italian Ice | Rise and Grind Coffee.
Plus, any district employee who goes to the event has the chance to win a gift card. We know all of our staff continues to give 100% effort in keeping our community healthy and safe, and for that, we will be raffling off 100 gift cards! All staff in attendance will have the opportunity to win – no vaccine or purchase is necessary to enter.
San Diego Unified cares about the health and wellness of all district employees and supports the CDC recommendation to stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, which includes receiving a booster after completing the primary vaccination series. Some people can now receive two boosters, including adults over the age of 50 at least 4-months after receiving their first booster.
COVID-19 vaccine boosters are not required for employment but are strongly encouraged as we work to keep our schools and district offices safe environments for students, staff and school communities.
