Congrats to the Robotics Team !!!

Students

Marston's Clairemonster Robotics Team competed today against 53 other teams at the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE Robotics Championships at Legoland. They did what they do best and that was to impress the judges by bringing home the FIRST PLACE trophy for Innovative Research Project. They were also nominated for the Global Innovation Award where they will be applying for one of 20 semi-finalist positions competing in San Jose in June 2019. Only 4 teams in Southern California out of about 500 teams were nominated. This is a huge honor and accomplishment for these girls. The FIRST LEGO League Global Innovation Award is designed to showcase the real-world, innovative solutions that FIRST LEGO League teams create as a result of their Research Project. FIRST LEGO League trains kids to think like innovators. The Award encourages and assists teams to further develop solutions to real-world problems that demonstrate originality and have the potential to add significant value to the world. For many teams, the innovative solutions created through their FIRST LEGO League Project have led to some amazing opportunities, like receiving local and national media attention, meeting government leaders, and seeing their invention be brought to market.

As always...so proud of Lily N, Amaya G, Grace C, Lauren O, and Sofia S.

Many thanks to these girls, their parents, my co-coaches (Mary & Julie), and our professionals from SPAWAR and formerly of Space X. I couldn't have done it without you!
