35 San Diego Unified Schools Recognized Among ‘America’s Healthiest Schools’

SAN DIEGO (AUG. 7, 2025) – Thirty-five San Diego Unified schools have been honored by Alliance for a Healthier Generation and included in their 2025 list of ‘America’s Healthiest Schools.’

The tally represents 20% of total schools in the District.

Schools are recognized in nine topic areas, including Nutrition & Food Access, Physical Education & Activity, School Health Services, Staff Well-Being, and Family & Community Engagement.

Four San Diego Unified schools received ‘All Star’ distinction by meeting criteria in all nine topics: Edison Elementary School, Horton Elementary School, Normal Heights Elementary School, and Rowan Elementary School.
