The Unlocking the Genius experience allows for all students in grades 6-12 to engage in a series of site-based lessons through the www.thrively.com platform which will also serve as a digital portfolio archiving student strengths, experiences, and connecting students to local opportunities to develop their interests. Parents can sign-up, connect to their student's account, and have access to their student's work and see students earning digital badges aligned with their development within the academic, career, and life readiness realms. The UTG lessons were structured to develop student competencies, and they encourage counselors and teachers to work together in the delivery. To increase site autonomy, counselors will have the remainder of the year to coordinate with the site administration/ teachers regarding the implementation of these lessons. Data trends in student engagement will be captured and reported.

To get started, you will need:
1. Watch the introductory video by Superintendent Cindy Marten.
2. Student sign-in instructions: Click on the link to watch video instructions. https://vimeo.com/230716881.
3. Students go to the Thrively webpage (www.thrively.com/login)
To log in: click on the Google Log-in Button (see image below)
For example:
- Student Liz Mariposa has a student ID of: 444335.
- Her active directory password is: Fun#School17
- Her email/username for Google is: [email protected]
- Her password is: Fun#School17
- (If students are having difficulty logging in to Thrively, please contact your school site's IT representative.)
4. Select the course for your grade level and start with XP1.
