Free School Meals for Every Student

We’re thrilled to share that the Universal Meals Program will continue this new school year! Every student can enjoy one free breakfast and one free lunch every school day at Sandi Coast Cafe. No meal application is required.

New Menu Offerings This School Year

We're serving up exciting new breakfast and lunch options based on feedback from students and families. Look for protein-packed breakfast favorites like:

  • Waffles with eggs and hash browns
  • Turkey bacon breakfast burritos
  • Egg bites with hash browns

Lunch is getting an upgrade, too, with bold new flavors and two student-inspired recipes:

  • Hot Honey Chicken Bowl with Fried Rice, created by culinary students from Morse High School
  • Ava's Avocado Salad, inspired by a student recipe from Correia Middle School
  • Beef Quesadilla
  • Bacon Cheeseburger
  • Baja Fish Tacos
  • Hummus Plate

Explore what's being served by visiting our online menu portal (make sure you select August 10, 2026 to access your school menus) or pick up a printed color menu at your school.

CEP Benefit Letter

Because our schools participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all students automatically receive free breakfast and lunch — no meal application needed. Some families may also need a CEP letter to qualify for programs such as free or reduced-cost internet service, exam fee waivers, or other community benefits. Download the CEP Letter.

Healthy, Balanced Meals Every Day

Every breakfast and lunch is carefully planned to meet USDA nutrition standards, giving students a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and milk while allowing them to choose the foods they'll enjoy.

Reducing Food Waste

Many schools offer a Share Table where unopened, eligible food items can be placed for other students to enjoy. It's one more way we're helping reduce food waste while making sure good food doesn't go to waste.
