E-bikes are everywhere, and families deserve clear, practical safety information. This summer, the San Diego Bicycle Coalition, Scripps Health, and the YMCA are offering free, hands-on e-bike safety courses for youth ages 12 to 16.
Each three-hour course combines classroom instruction, parking lot skills drills, and supervised street riding with certified cycling instructors. Participants ride their own bikes (electric or manual), and every participant receives a free e-bike-rated helmet courtesy of Scripps Health.
