San Diego Unified student-athletes are invited to take part in a voluntary $10 pre-participation sports physical event on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Canyon Hills High School, located at 5156 Santo Road, San Diego, CA 92124.
This optional opportunity is open to students who plan to try out for a CIF-sanctioned sport during the 2026-27 school year, including sideline and competition cheerleaders. Current San Diego Unified 8th graders who will attend a district high school next year and want to try out for a sport are also invited.
The screening fee is $10, cash only, and services will be provided by licensed medical professionals. The event is first come, first served, and families should anticipate possible extended wait times of up to two hours.
Students should arrive dressed in athletic clothing and bring:
- School identification card
- Completed San Diego Unified Health History Form, signed by a parent/guardian
- Corrective eyewear, if needed
The 2026-27 athletic physical packets will be available beginning Monday, June 8, 2026, at athleticclearance.com. Physicals for the 2026-27 school year must be completed after June 8 to be valid for the full school year.
