STATE PRESCHOOL AND SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAMS
The San Diego Unified School District Preschool Program creates a joyful, safe, and nurturing learning environment where every child is valued and celebrated. We honor each child’s unique needs, language, and culture, fostering a sense of belonging and happiness in every classroom. Our mission is to inspire young learners to grow socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically—sparking curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning that builds a strong foundation for lifelong success.
San Diego Unified School District preschool offers two free programs for 3 and 4 year old children: State Preschool (CSPP) for families who meet eligibility and School Readiness for families who do not meet any of the eligibility criteria for State Preschool.
