The Extended Learning Opportunities Department is excited to share information about the 2026 Summer Paid Leadership Internship Program in partnership with CCTE, Teach Lead, FranklinCovey Education, and Leader in Me.
This 5-week, paid summer internship is open to currently enrolled SDUSD high school students who are 16 years old or older and interested in leadership, education, and career exploration. The program provides hands-on experience working with elementary students, professional development, and leadership training.

Key Highlights:

- 5 weeks / 82 hours total
- Student may elect to receive NON-WEIGHTED ELECTIVE HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT(S)
- Open to SDUSD high school students (age 16 by June 10, 2026)
- Application opens: Friday, January 30th, 2026 at 8:00 AM PST
- Application deadline: Friday, March 13th, 2026 at 5:00 PM PST
- Internship dates: June 1st, 2026 – July 2nd, 2026
