Cadman Elementary, in partnership with the San Diego Police Department, hosted a successful Walk/Bike/Roll to School Day. The event was designed to build positive relationships between students, families, and law enforcement, encourage healthy physical activity, and promote safe routes to school.
More than 100 students, along with their families and school staff, gathered at Cadman Park before walking, biking, and rolling together to campus with escorts from SDPD. Along the way, officers connected with students, modeled safe walking and riding practices, and helped reinforce the importance of being alert and visible on the way to and from school.
The morning concluded with a school safety forum hosted by Principal Friedenberg in collaboration with San Diego Unified School Police. Families had the opportunity to learn more about safety procedures, ask questions, and share feedback about how to keep students safe in and around school.
The event highlighted Cadman Elementary’s commitment to student safety, wellness, and strong community partnerships.
