Check out these student leadership and affinity space opportunities available across San Diego Unified! These are open to ALL middle and high school students—no experience needed, just interest and passion. Each space has its own focus, so read through and see which one feels right for you.
Student Equity Ambassadors
This is your chance to represent your school, speak up for equity, and make school more inclusive for everyone.
What you’ll do:
- Be a voice for your peers
- Work with students and adults across the district
- Lead campaigns that promote inclusion and justice

Black Student Union (BSU) Coalition
This is a district-wide space for Black students and allies to come together, celebrate culture, and speak up about issues that matter.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and take part in events that honor Black history and culture
- Build connections between middle and high school BSUs
- Work with educators and district leaders to create change
