San Diego Unified invites ALL students, families, and staff to our Native American Heritage Month Celebration Ceremony and Native American Indigenous Youth Conference on Thursday, November 13, 8:30 AM–3:00 PM at Centro Cultural de la Raza (2004 Park Blvd, San Diego 92101).
Schedule
- 8:30–10:00 AM Registration, youth activities, light breakfast
- 10:00–11:30 AM Celebration Ceremony featuring Kumeyaay Bird Singers, speakers, Pow Wow dancers, and a presentation of the Kumeyaay flag (open to the community)
- 11:30 AM–3:00 PM Indigenous Youth Conference for all students in grades 5–12 (lunch provided; raffle entry for all youth)
