Encourage Your Junior or Senior to Apply for the 2026 U.S. Senate Youth Program
High school juniors and seniors with an interest in public service are invited to apply for the 2026 United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP). Two delegates from California will be selected to attend the 64th Annual Washington Week in Washington, D.C., March 7–14, 2026.
Selected student delegates will:
- Participate in a comprehensive leadership program in the nation’s capital
- Each receive a $10,000 college scholarship
Eligibility: Students must be nominated by their high school principal, currently serve in an elected or appointed student leadership position for the 2025–26 school year, be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents, and reside in California for the academic year.
Application Process:
- Submit the Intent to Apply form by Monday, September 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
- If eligible, complete the final application by Monday, October 20, 2025
